Abdulbasit Abdulsamad is a renowned Quraan reciter born in 1927 in a village called Almara’za in Egypt. Abdulbasit Abdulsamad learnt the Glorious Quraan at an early age from Sheikh Mohamed El Amir and later from Mohamed Selim Hamada. He entered the National Radio Station in 1951. The first Surah he recited was “Fatir”. He is the only Qari to have won three world Qirat competitions in the early 1970`s.
